Our Family
This is a blog about our family. My journal of our adventures. We're just trying to do our best raising 2 crazy kids (or maybe we're the crazy ones). Eight years of marriage under our belts, and still lots of new adventures and surprises on this road called life.

In loving memory of my mom- Kathleen Nelson Higgins May 11, 1954-December 29, 2008. She is my warrior and I wear pink in honor of her.

Our Easter Festivities

Our last couple of weekends have been full of Easter fun for the kids, so I thought I would share some pics. Last Sunday we had an Easter egg hunt and dinner with my dad and sister in Coalville. Grace and her cousin Chloe were busy high-tailing it to get all of the eggs on the back lawn.
Easter weekend we went to Blackfoot, ID to Adam's parent's house. Our new twin nieces were being blessed on Easter Sunday and so it gave us a chance to see them. Here is a picture of Eliza and Jane in their blessing dresses (I'm still not sure how to tell them apart)! This is the first time we've seen them, they were born on Thanksgiving day 2008 and they are so sweet. They are still pretty small and Max is still pretty big, so we figured out that the twins together equal one Max in weight (around 23 lbs) :).

The proud parents- Michelle (Adam's sister) and Kyle with 'the girls' as they are often called.

After the blessing festivities the kids found their Easter baskets. It's a tradition in Adam's family that the baskets are hidden in the yard (which is a huge yard) and then you have to go find them. Grace started early with the treats in the basket she found first.

Here are my Easter cuties! Notice that Adam is not in any of these pics cause he was sick with food poisoning all day Sunday (darn that Taco Bell). Luckily it was still a good day and especially to be with family and go to church.

Our weekend in Blackfoot was jam packed with things going on even though I only posted a few pics. Adam's sister from Indiana (Katherine) flew out to help with the blessing and we found out his sister Deborah and her husband are adopting a baby girl in August!!! We are so excited for them, it's been a long time in coming but they will be great parents. On top of all that Adam's niece Kristen competed in a Jr. Miss pageant (my first experience with anything like that) Saturday night and did a great job. There was lots going on but the kids had a ball and everything worked out great.
