Our Family

Our Family
This is a blog about our family. My journal of our adventures. We're just trying to do our best raising 2 crazy kids (or maybe we're the crazy ones). Eight years of marriage under our belts, and still lots of new adventures and surprises on this road called life.

In loving memory of my mom- Kathleen Nelson Higgins May 11, 1954-December 29, 2008. She is my warrior and I wear pink in honor of her.

Olivia!

Hooray! Baby Olivia was legally adopted this week, sealed to her parents (Deborah and Brady), and had her baby blessing. Olivia is so sweet and ALL events further made me feel of the miracle that this little girl is. She is evidence of many miracles, prayers, and faith. I'm so glad she is forever in a family with Deborah & Brady (and us). Olivia was adopted 6 months ago when she was born. Her birth parents were present for almost everything this weekend, along with her birth grand and great grandparents. I am so grateful to them, can't imagine how difficult it must be but SO grateful to Kelsey for giving her baby up for adoption to Deborah and Brady. They are great parents. The proudest and most deserving parents with Olivia Kelsey Fox.
Olivia and her dad. Brady made these sweet rings with 3 stones in them representing 3 girls- Olivia, Deborah, and Kelsey (birth mom). He got a ring for each of them and they were really sweet.

Some of Adam's family: Charity, Mom, Alison, Deborah, Adam.

More of the girls from the weekend.

By the way- Has anyone seen Hannah Montana lately? I think she lives with us. Grace got a make over by her cousin Baylee last weekend while visiting Grandma Moon's house. The picture says is all. Grace LOVED every bit of it.
Families are a MIRACLE, everything about a family. I am so grateful (which sounds so cliche) for the sealing power in the temple, coupled with the miracle of life that brings children into the world. No matter how we all get here, it is a beautiful thing to be sealed together forever as families. I am so grateful to have a testimony of these things. Things like this just make me want to push even harder to make it back to heaven with everyone in my family.
