Our Annual Garcia Weekend at the cabin!
Every year we get together at the cabin for a few days with the Garcia's and have a ball.
The weekend always consists of:
LOTS of food
Phase 10 and Skipbo
Rafting the Snake River
Hanging out
Lots of good laughs
Sunshine
This year was no different, and in fact it was a blast- a little more laid back than usual, no teary eyes without my mom being there (although she is still missed and loved of course), lots of fun teasing, laughing, and enjoying each other.
Did I mention, we really lucked out with some beautiful weather.
We really had a good time.
It was a really good retreat.
This is my dad and Josie- his main squeeze these days. It was Josie's first trip up to the cabin and if she made it through a weekend with us & Garcia's she's a keeper. We had a lot of fun having her with us and teasing my dad- we had to get a few jabs in as he was zaney. Glad for everyone's sense of humor!

Janae and Max. Janae & Aaron are expecting their first baby March 8, 2011!

I'm so thankful for the Garcia's and the good friends they are and always have been to us.
It's nice to know that some things always stay the same and that they are by my side through all the craziness and change life brings.
The weekend was so good, we might not wait for next year but do it again over conference!

So now that i'm past my shocked silence (i know.. THAT shocking!) over Ted's lover, i'm totally and completely psyched for the guy!! They look very very cute together and sooo happy!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally bummed that we couldn't come up and spend at least a few hours with you guys... it would have been a blast! The Garcia's look great, i'm so happy for Janae and her hubby, that's awesome!!!
